Student data analyst
We’re on the lookout for a student worker to help us analyse, visualise and break down numbers in order for us to develop even better games!
If this sounds interesting to you, then you might be the next member of Funday Games!
WE ARE LOOKING FOR…
As a Student Data Analyst at Funday Games, you'll support our teams in making informed decisions based on player data. That’s why it’s important that you feel confident working with data analysis and statistics. Since you’ll be part of a small team, you bring a high level of learning agility — you're quick to pick things up on your own and not afraid to ask clarifying questions when needed. You’re comfortable working at different paces: sometimes delivering quick, actionable insights, and other times diving deep into complex datasets.
Preferably, you are enrolled in a Master’s Program that provides you with an understanding of data analysis in general. It’s a huge plus if you feel comfortable working with Python and have hands-on experience using it - but most importantly; we’re looking for someone who loves games and is curious about how players interact with them.
you will be working on…
Alongside Funday’s Head of Player Insights, you will be responsible for handling our data analysis which includes:
Looking at data in an exploratory way and investigating patterns, as well as helping interpret significant trends and changes
Identifying relevant telemetry and setting up data processing flows, while ensuring the quality of our data and existing pipelines
Building actionable dashboards, e.g., through Google Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI - or similar visualisation tools
Conducting A/B tests, measuring impact of product and marketing changes, and maintaining a critical view on results
Communicating your findings to non-data-wizards
It’s a bonus if…
Your toolbox contains skills or know-how on tools and programmes like SQL, R, or similar
You can easily find your way around Excel and Google Sheets & Slides
You are strong in data communication and reporting
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
What we offer…
We offer a part time position with approx. 15 hours per week with lots of responsibility, independence, and influence - always with nice people to spar and juggle ideas with.
We have a hybrid setup that allows you to work from home, with at least one day per week at our office in Filmbyen 11a, 8000 Aarhus C.
Who we are…
Funday Games is an experienced games studio based in the heart of Aarhus trusted by partners like Ghost Ship Games, SYBO Games, Apple and many more. We are 49 digital savvy people specialised in games, engagement and digital experiences.
Our four core values — think big, stay curious, have fun, and be kind — are at the heart of who we are at Funday. They shape both our strategic direction and our daily interactions at the office. That’s why it’s important for us to find a new colleague who not only brings strong skills, but who also connects with these values and wants to help us nurture them in everything we do.
At Funday, we go to work to produce the greatest games of the highest possible quality - always with our players in the driver's seat. But that’s only half the reason. We go to work to have fun. A lot of fun so if you like informal environments filled with creative and technical expertise - and where slippers and Star Wars t-shirts are much more common than suits and ties, you’ll fit right in.
Finally, if you can slightly see yourself in this role – we’d love to hear from you.
You don’t need to tick every single box. At Funday, we care deeply about building diverse, inclusive teams where different perspectives and backgrounds are valued and welcomed.
So don’t hesitate – send us your application, even if you’re not sure you’re “exactly right.” You just might be the person we didn’t know we needed yet 💛
